Gambaro Events sells tickets to events held at Gambaro venues. Sometimes these events are sponsored or partially sponsored. We refer to these artists, agents, promoters or sponsors as our ‘Event Partners‘. We may share your information with our Event Partners and may share your information with other third parties, as further described in Section 7 below.
Gambaro also sells physical products via our online store, and distributes these products through it’s own delivery service infrastructure, as well as from it’s physical outlets via customer collection.
Gambaro is responsible for the processing of your personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles in Schedule 1 of the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
- Cookies Notice
- We collect your information in different ways
Directly from you. For example, if you buy a product, ticket, register for a promotion, enter a competition or free prize draw, create a Gambaro account, download an app, post a comment on our websites, ask us a question, phone us, email us, or interact with Gambaro offices.
From third parties. For example, if you choose to use an integrated social media feature on our websites, the third-party social media site will give us certain information about you. This could include your name and email address. Your activities on our sites and apps may be posted to the social media platforms. Further information about the third parties from whom we obtain information is available in Section 4 below.
- Information we may hold about you
We use the following information for the purposes described in this Policy:
Your contact and account information. We will hold contact information you provide to us (e.g. name, address, phone number, email) when you buy products, create a Gambaro account, Membership account, and/or participate in our competitions or promotions.
Your payment and billing information. We may hold payment and billing information you provide to us (e.g. credit card number when you buy a ticket) in connection with the handling of your ticket orders. This information is destroyed following an event. We do not store payment and billing information electronically.
Information you post online. For example, we hold information you post on our website or on a third-party social media site to which we have access (including reviews you post or surveys you complete). When you post information online, you must not infringe the rights of others (including privacy rights) and you should be aware that others may use, tag and/or re-publish your information in ways that you might not expect (including in ways that are unlawful). You understand that we and others (including our Event Partners) may use and re-publish any data you post online publicly, on our website or when using apps or social media tools.
Information on your preferences. We may collect information about events you like or products you buy or enquire about (e.g. as part of a survey or from your review of an event). We may also hold information on interests and demographic categories inferred from your interactions with us in order to provide you a better service and to provide you with more focused information.
Information from other companies. We will hold information (e.g. your purchases or any information necessary to satisfy your request or fulfil your order) provided to us by other companies including our Event Partners. We may also add information to your details which we have obtained from other companies or sources.
Website usage information. If you use our websites, we may collect information about the browser and device you’re using and your IP address (this is a number that identifies a specific network device on the internet and is required for your device to communicate with websites). We might look at what site you came from, what you did and didn’t use our site for, or what site you visit when you leave us.
Other information about your interactions with us. For example, if you interact with us via our admin office, email, telephone or social media (e.g. Facebook).
- We may use your information in the following ways and for the following purposes
To provide you with products, services, account information and support. For example, we might use your information to update you on delivery timeframes; or we might use your information to confirm your attendance at an event. If you give us your friend’s information (eg. purchasing a ticket on their behalf) we will use it to provide services you request from us. Before you give us a friend’s information, please do make sure that you have your friend’s permission to share that information with us.
To send you communications in connection with your transaction and events you attend. For example, we might send you emails about a ticket purchase or ask you if you would like to review an event you attended. We might also contact you about this Policy or any of our other policies or terms.
To identify trends and interests. We use your information to get to know what your preferences might be so we can improve our offering to you and so that your experience with us is more relevant and personal. We may combine information we get from you with information about you we get from third parties, including to analyse customer behaviour.
To monitor and improve our products, services and websites. We analyse your information to improve our understanding of you and our customer base in general. We do this so that we can make better decisions about our services, advertising, products and content, based on a more informed picture of how our customers use our current services, and to provide you with a more customised experience.
To prevent or detect unlawful behaviour or to protect or enforce legal rights. For example, we may use your information to prevent the reselling of stolen or counterfeit tickets, misuse of our intellectual property (e.g. our or our Event Partner’s brands), or fraud (including credit card fraud and fraud we think has happened during an order transaction or at an event) or other crimes.
For security purposes. We may use your information to protect the security of our company, employees, our customers, third parties and/or our/their property (including any events you may attend and our websites) as permitted by law.
For market research purposes. We may contact you as part of market research we are carrying out. You can choose not to participate.
For marketing purposes. Where you’ve agreed, you may be contacted by us by email, text message, telephone or other means with information or offers regarding our upcoming events, products or services (including newsletters).
As otherwise permitted by law. In limited circumstances, we may also use your information for other purposes where permitted by law.
- You have certain choices about how we use your information
When you buy products, tickets, create a Gambaro account, or use any of our other services, we may ask for your consent in order to collect, process or use your personal information for specified purposes.
If you wish to withdraw any consent you have provided to us for such use of your personal information, please contact us or tell us about your preferences using the methods described in this section. You understand that if you choose not to give us consents, or if you withdraw consents, you may not be able to take advantage of one or more features we offer. In addition to contacting us, you can opt out in the following ways:
You can opt out of receiving marketing communications including newsletters. To stop receiving Gambaro marketing communications you can change your preferences within your account or follow the instructions in any promotional message you get. If you opt out of getting marketing messages, we will still be sure to send you transactional messages. For example, we may still contact you about your orders.
You can control and opt out of us using tools on your devices. For example, you can turn off the GPS locator by using the settings on your phone or PC.
- We may share your information with the following third parties
Within the Gambaro family of companies. We may share any or all of your information with our group companies for any of the purposes referred to in this Policy.
If we think we have to in order to comply with legal or regulatory requirements or to protect ourselves, Event Partners or third parties. Where permitted or required by law, we may also share information requested by a government agency or other authorised body or organisation, to protect or enforce our rights or the rights of any Event Partner or third party, or in the detection and prevention of fraud (including credit card fraud and fraud we think has happened during a sweepstakes or promotion or at an event) and other crimes.
Any successor to all or part of our business. Where permitted by law, we may give a successor your information to use for the purposes set out in this Policy – and we may also give a potential successor this information – but only where we have taken reasonable steps to ensure the security and confidentiality of that information.
- Our sites are not intended for children
Our sites and apps are meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent or legal guardian and think your child has given us information, you can contact us.
- We use standard security measures
We have security measures in place to protect your information. Our online service is hosted in Australia in secure, industry accredited facilities. To help protect the privacy of data and personal information we collect and hold, we maintain physical, technical and administrative safeguards. We update and test our security technology on an ongoing basis.
We train our employees about the importance of confidentiality and maintaining the privacy and security of your information. Access to your Personal Information is restricted to employees who need it to provide benefits or services to you.
The standard security measures we use will depend on the type of information collected. However, the Internet is not 100% secure. We cannot promise that your use of our sites will be completely safe. We encourage you to use caution when using the Internet.

Our goal at Gambaro Pty Ltd (‘Gambaro’) is to make your purchasing experience easy, efficient and equitable. The following policies are designed to ensure your satisfaction and understanding of our purchase processes.
- Pricing and Availability
Gambaro sells products and tickets at prices determined by market forces, the nature of the event and venue location, and in consideration of any Event Partners and beneficiary. Products and tickets are generally sold via our online website (httpss://www.gambarogroup.com.au) but may also be made available through retail outlets and admin offices. Products and tickets for popular product categories or events may sell out quickly. Occasionally, additional products/tickets may be available, however, this is at the discretion of Gambaro.
- Special provisions for VIP Tickets
If you’re buying VIP Tickets from Gambaro Events, the following information applies in addition to the other sections of this Purchase Policy. If there’s any inconsistency between this section and the rest of this Purchase Policy, this section will take precedence when you purchase VIP Tickets.
VIP Tickets are only sold online through https://gambarogroup.com.au. The price of VIP Tickets is set according to demand at the time you purchase, so it may vary – you pay the price displayed at the time you make your purchase, but the price of similar VIP Tickets may increase or decrease after you have purchased. You won’t be entitled to a refund if the price of similar VIP Tickets subsequently falls. VIP Tickets are the best tickets available for each event, so the numbers of available VIP Tickets may be extremely limited and can sell out quickly. Occasionally, additional tickets may be available prior to the event but Gambaro does not control this inventory or its availability. For details of any fees or other charges that apply to your order of VIP Tickets, please look for information on the pages where the VIP Tickets are advertised.
- Cancelled Events
Very occasionally, events may be cancelled or postponed due to unforseen situations which may affect the performers, staff or audience. If an event is cancelled, please contact Gambaro for information on receiving a refund. Unless indicated otherwise in relation to a particular event, if an event is cancelled or rescheduled, ticket purchasers will be offered tickets at any rescheduled event up to the face value of the original tickets or, if the ticket purchaser is unable to attend the rescheduled event or the event is not rescheduled, a refund. Refunds for tickets purchased prior to the date of the original event will be given up to the amount paid for the tickets (including per transaction handling fees) but will normally exclude any delivery fees paid in respect of the tickets.
Contact Gambaro for exact instructions if an event is cancelled or rescheduled. Please make sure to include/provide your order number so we can expedite your refund (if applicable).
It is your responsibility to ascertain whether an event has been cancelled and the date and time of any rescheduled event. If an event is cancelled or rescheduled, we will use reasonable endeavours to notify ticket purchasers of the cancellation. We do not guarantee that ticket purchasers will be informed of such cancellation before the date of the event.
- Refunds, Exchanges and Replacement Tickets
Before purchasing tickets, carefully review the event and your ticket selection details. Gambaro does not issue an exchange or refund for a lost, stolen, damaged or destroyed ticket unless (a) Gambaro is able to identify (acting reasonably) and cancel the relevant ticket, and (b) you give Gambaro a reasonable amount of notice ahead of the event that the ticket has been lost, stolen, damaged or destroyed, in which case Gambaro will issue a replacement ticket to you for a reasonable administration fee. A change in personal circumstances does not entitle a ticket holder to return or exchange a ticket.
Subject to any statutory rights of refund (including, without limitation, the provisions of the Australian Consumer Law), if an event takes place then generally there is no right to a refund or exchange, including where a ticket holder cannot attend because of adverse weather conditions.
Please note that each ticket that you purchase is subject to the additional terms set forth on that ticket. So there may be the provision for refunds up to a certain date prior to the event. Please read the Terms and Conditions specific to the event you are purchasing for, before making a ticket purchase.
For physical goods (eg. food and beverages), customers are entitled to a refund or exchange in accordance with Australian Consumer Law.
- Delivery of Tickets
Gambaro sends tickets electronically to the email address of the charge card holder. These tickets are issued to the buyer immediately after the purchase is processed and confirmed. Occasionally, we receive incorrect email or credit card account information for a ticket order that can delay processing and delivery. In this case, we will contact you on the phone number you have provided.
- Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law (including, without limitation, the Australian Consumer Law), neither Gambaro nor our Event Partners shall have any liability to you beyond the face value of the ticket purchased plus any relevant per transaction handling fee and delivery fee. Neither Gambaro nor our Event Partners shall be liable for any loss of enjoyment or wasted expenditure. Personal arrangements including travel, subsistence and accommodation relating to the event which have been arranged by you are at your own risk. Gambaro nor our Event Partners accept no responsibility for any personal property. This provision does not affect your rights or remedies in relation to any Consumer Guarantee that may be applicable to the Gambaro’s or our Event Partner’s services.
- Injury at events
To the extent permitted by law, Gambaro disclaims all liability for any injuries caused at an event. Stay alert at all times before, during and after the event. If struck or otherwise injured or distressed, immediately ask an usher for assistance or directions to a medical station or contact an emergency service. By purchasing a ticket through Gambaro, you acknowledge and accept these terms and conditions in your personal capacity. You assume all risks which are incidental to the event for which the ticket you have purchased is issued, whether before, during or after the event.
- License; Ejection and Cancellation; No Redemption Value
Gambaro reserves the right, without refund of any amount paid, to refuse admission to, or eject, any person whose conduct deems to be disorderly, who uses vulgar or abusive language or who otherwise fails to comply with Gambaro’s terms and conditions. A ticket is a revocable licence and breach of any such terms and conditions will terminate your licence to attend the event without refund or compensation. A ticket is not redeemable for cash.
All patrons attending an event must hold a valid ticket for that event and be aged 18 years and over.
All customers purchasing alcohol via our online store, must consent to being aged 18 years and over. Customers will be prevented from adding alcoholic beverages to their cart, without this consent.
- Recording, Transmission and Exhibition
You grant permission to Gambaro to utilise your image, likeness, actions and statements in any live or recorded audio, video, or photographic display or other transmission, exhibition, publication or reproduction made of, or at, the event (regardless of whether before, during or after the event) in any medium or context without further authorisation or compensation.
- You Are Subject to Search
You may be requested to submit yourself and your belongings to a search on entry to an event for which you hold a ticket. By purchasing a ticket from Gambaro or using a ticket to gain entry into an event, you consent to such searches and waive any related claims that may arise (to the extent permissible by law). If you withdraw your consent to such searches, you may be denied entry to the event without refund or other compensation. Gambaro rules may prohibit certain items from being brought into the Venue, including without limitation, alcohol, drugs, controlled substances, cameras, recording devices, bundles and containers. Such items may be confiscated and neither Gambaro, Event Partners nor the Venue accept any responsibility for confiscated items.
- Unlawful Re-Sale of Tickets; Commercial Purposes
There are laws in place in certain states that prohibit resale of tickets to certain events or limit the prices at which they may be resold. As a ticket purchaser, you are responsible for complying with any such laws.
A ticket shall not be used for advertising, promotions, contests or sweepstakes, unless formal written authorisation is given by Gambaro, provided that even if such consent is obtained, use of Gambaro’s trademarks and other intellectual property is subject to Gambaro’s express consent.
- Keeping tickets safe
Please ensure that upon receipt of your tickets that they are kept in a safe place.
- For tickets purchased through a Site the following terms also apply:14.1 Multiple Browser Windows
When ordering tickets online at a Site, please ensure you are looking for tickets and placing an order using only one browser window. Looking up tickets using multiple browser windows could result in losing your tickets or timer expiration.
14.2 Order Confirmation
Details of all successful and completed product and ticket purchase orders are sent to the purchaser (in the form of a confirmation page and email) with an order number. If you do not receive a confirmation page or email after submitting payment information, or if you experience an error message or service interruption after submitting payment information, it is your responsibility to confirm with our Customer Service team whether or not your order has been placed. Only you may be aware of any problems that may occur during the purchase process. Gambaro will not be responsible for losses (monetary or otherwise) if you assumed that an order was not placed because you failed to receive confirmation.
The price shown for products tickets on a Site includes GST (where applicable) but exclude processing fees that are calculated on a per transaction basis. Processing fees are added to the final total of your order.
The fees calculated on a per transaction basis are handling and delivery fees. Handling fees cover the costs of providing ticketing services, and product handling services, including things like infrastructure costs and operating an online store. Handling fees may vary depending on the order or event.
14.4 Amount of Tickets Per Customer or ‘Ticket Limits’
When purchasing tickets on our Site, you are limited to a specified number of tickets for each event (also known as a ‘ticket limit’). This amount is included on the unique event page and is verified with every transaction. This policy is in effect to discourage unfair ticket buying practices.
All ticket prices for events are stated in Australian Dollars.
- Law and Jurisdiction
